The Black Gold Committee, the City of Belle Glade and the Chamber of Commerce have been working for several months in preparation for the 35th Annual Black Gold Jubilee. It is going to be a great event!

This year, in addition to the Chamber’s Green Market, they are planning to bring back the spectacular fireworks, thanks to a sponsorship from Florida Crystals. They will also have a scavenger hunt for those adventurous few who want to participate and a talent contest under the local entertainment stage.

The Lakeside Stage will feature the “Young Faces of County Music”, three young and upcoming artists. Opening act will be Amber Leigh, who has a fan base in the Delray Beach area. Following her performance will be “Blackjack Billy”, a duo from Nashville, Tennessee. Our headline entertainer will be Chris Janson, who has almost overnight become the talk of Nashville. He recently had a record “Better I Don’t” rank number 4 in the top ten of country music.

Please join us Saturday, April 13th, beginning with the kick-off parade down Main Street at 10 am. Call the Chamber at 996-2745 for more information.
